what is rise?

R.I.S.E. (Responsive Initiatives for Social Empowerment), formerly known as Jazzanooga, which started as a one day Jazz festival in 2011 has quickly evolved into an independent minority led arts organization dedicated to using the arts to transcend cultural barriers and addressing the lack of arts and cultural programming in the Chattanooga area.

#STAYwoke

#STAYHOME

In response to heightened concerns relating to the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and in keeping the health and well-being of our audience, creative community of artists and performers, visitors, staff  and interns our top priority, we have temporarily suspended our programs and services at our sites.

We are now pivoting our focus in providing much needed support and information to our community members, with a special emphasis on our creative cultural communities.

We continue to closely monitor the latest developments regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and any potential impact it may have in our community and will continually update and provide details on our website as they become available.

Be well, be safe and thank you for your continued support and understanding.
